Apparently, Whole Foods is trying to make up for the fact that there is a ton of competition in the grocery industry by jumping into another industry with tons of competition. Rumor is that the geniuses in Austin are trying to start a meal delivery service like Blue Apron and Plated.

a year ago they said that was a bubble....
just like two years ago, they said they wouldn't compete in a race to the bottom on price...
and when they said what differentiated them from the competition was "service" and people would pay up for that knowledge and expertise...no service no premium...
When is this gonna end? Why does the top continue to embarrass everyone else? These people need to be FIRED. There is no money left to invest in something like this. Not when all the stores can't even stay clean anymore.

Whoa. Now they are followers instead of leaders. It feels like a desperate move, and it will fail because they never think things through, and it will be ( probably) a 1/3 more in price than the " competition" - and an impossible recipe to follow.
