It's about time that analysts and the business press got it right! There are pension funds and other large investor groups that every day entrust this executive team to get it right. Where have they been? Unfortunately, for many years, swallowing the propaganda emanating from the corner office toilets at 550 Bowie Street. Well now it seems like they've finally woken up. There needs to be a very loud constant drumbeat from pension funds and other institutional investors as well as real journalists in the business press...DEMANDING ACCOUNTABILITY!

Classic case of how to destroy a good idea Mackeys way of thinking I use that term lightly has not served him well he lacks some serious critical thinking skills on top of that his arrogance will be the unraveling of WF it's already begun

In our region, there are VPs who started out as cashiers. Read that slowly and think about it. We're not that kind of world anymore. We need VPs with business and marketing degrees who can dominate in this competitive retail world. I like that a bunch of hippies started this company in the 80s but it's past time to come into the 21st century. I've given a decade to this company and I don't want to be a victim of the next layoff.

"Personally, I'm severely worried about Whole Foods' future, and I think the chain needs to toss its current executive team into the trash bin and do a complete management reset with extremely seasoned retail execs."

Well, there it is. Is it gonna happen? Probably not,

"Unfortunately, Whole Foods strikes me as an undisciplined, flailing company that's under siege from a fast-changing market. The quarterly results that WFM released last night did nothing to change that opinion -- in fact, they only reaffirmed my view that the company doesn't deserve investors' trust."

Sure did notice that the author called the exec team 'arrogant'. Only took thirty years for someone to notice.
