sitting at a computer should be for a custom only. the fact that you still have to sit at the computer with SLAW is even more outdated than you think. All of this crap can be done on a scangun, wfm just can't figure it out like other massive retailers did a decade ago.

Yep, SLAW is roughly the same interface we use to print tags already, but you can print signs too, from any computer in the store. The signs look terrible, but I guess this is a cost-saving measure to get artists out of the stores and so we don't have to buy Apple iMacs for every store. We'll be stuck with our slow as Xmas Windows systems. Investing in backwards technology!

Tons of issues yes and just ugly looking signs come on! This is 101 on how you can run a business into the ditch! This along with the many other whack a doodle decisions is going to cost us TM.'s a lot of $ in the end and the top guys and gals are going to fly out of there with all the cash.
If I had to guess, they had to throw the SLAW out because it was way outdated, and since there is no one left to work that section it took a while for anyone to notice. It probably sat on the shelf because you can get a better one for less at any competitor.
Oh, and yes, I do realize that SLAW is a computer program. Lol
SLAW is a sign-making program that's supposed to allow buyers or other specialists to make their own signs. It bypasses the store GA. The original go-live date for it was earlier this summer, but there were glitches and they had to postpone the go-live date to 8/1. Yesterday I got involved in a chain of e-mails with regional and it was pretty much implied that monday's gonna come and go and the program won't be launched.
What is SLAW, why is it important, and what happened? People look more grim than usual.
