Our entire office was laid off then bought by another company, however only 80% were offered jobs by the new company. Lots of talented people were lost. It felt like a divorce!

Well Bank of America sold off the Getzville Site a little over 3 years ago. All 800+ associates had to apply/interview with the new company. If they were hired and refused the position, the revoked the right to collect severance. Only those that didn't receive a offer with the new company were eligible for a severance package. There was allot of tenure at that site, it was a sad day.
