I was separated from employment 8 days ago. Listen, I was so angry when they called me up to their office (SATL and my TL), that when they told me, I asked them how they can sleep at night. I was there for five years and never had one issue with my work until the TL arrived about 1 1/2 years ago. She has written me up for ridiculous reasons when I am one of the best cashier they had. They accused me of being rude to the customers, which is such B.S.. Just because they say it, it doesn't make it true.

After I got over my anger, I realized how much better I felt. The noise inside my head from working in a supermarket, got very calm and quiet. My stress went away and now I realize it was the best thing that could happen to me because I've been trying to get out of there since the new TL got there.

I hope I get a new job quickly but right now I am chill, chill, chill and love it.

I'm leaving and it feels amazing. The stress is #1 reason for leaving. I just happen to get better pay and every other weekend off. But stress levels are definitely #1 reason I'm outta there

I got walked out the back door like a criminal after 5 years of service by WFM when I informed them that I got a better job with a competitor. Now I'm in a higher leadership position making 40% more money (and I was "highly paid" for my position at WFM according to their payscale), work for the best boss I've ever had, and am SO much happier. I also feel in control of the situation which is something I didn't feel in WFM leadership. There is a life on the other side of Whole Foods Market and the grass is definitely greener over here!

Well, just take that amazing health coverage from WFM and skip down to the doctor! After dropping a couple hundred(thousand?) On medical bills you'll feel even better!

I used to have bad dreams when I was working there about the high pressure BS, if you screw up you're gone attitude of managers. I would dream about performing impossible tasks in the I.R.M.A. system and that I would lose my job if I didn't do it correctly. I am so glad I am out of that place, better money and so much less stress with a different employer.

I drink every day from the stress. I think only sociopaths will be left in leadership because anyone with a soul couldn't do this job without feeling terrible for the team members they are abusing.

I knew 5 yrs ago when I started here what I was getting into (thanks, Glassdoor) I never had ANY illusions of what this place was about--When you have few expectations, it's hard to experience stress

Yes, It has gotten worse for those around me it seems, but I'm pretty much same as always, understanding that you can't get blood out of a rock. To hope that things could ever get better is really, quite hopeless and frankly, OUR delusion. Like teaching a cat to bark--Good luck w/that

WFM IS What it is.

Yeah, I've heard stories of how it "used to be" and maybe that's true, but that ship has sailed...

Meditation does wonders--seriously.

Good Luck
