You are lucky that you got anything. We haven't gotten anything in a long time. They keep cutting our budget and it's very stressful now.
One store gainshare has recently panned out to .45 cents. Pathetic. Back in 2006, it was $400.
Igot 188
About $200 before tax, $160ish after tax.
In 2014, averaged over $250 per month. The past 5 months, a total haul of two dollars.
Yes innerviews....their was a pie chart on the back that broke down how much the company spent on us per dollar sale. It also gave boasting numbers on how many TMs were long term Full-timers. I remember when their were 38 percent of us with over 10k hours. I wonder what the pie chart would look like today?
DAILY SALES REPORT EMAILS stopped awhile back as well. This makes sense due to all of the red on those spreadsheets as of late.
I remember back when we used to get those "innerviews" mags on a regular basis and the one where mackey was rolling out the new algorithm for labor surplus/gainsharing..he was justifying this change as necessary because they(stockhilders,board,a.c.gallo) didnt like the returns ordinary tm's were seeing on sales versus what was trickling up to the wall street people.
It's called Capital Gains Tax
Ever since a.c. gallo came to the company they have been trying to figure a way to screw us out of gainsharing.i remember 15 years ago when my gainsharing was equal to my paycheck and we got those quarterly t.i.p.s bonuses too (around 160$)...
Yeah...like 7 bucks....
Just give us enough TM's to get the job done. That's all we ask.
Gainsharing was a total lie. Management simply moved the goal posts so gainsharing always evaporated. We regularly saw gainsharing of $0 - $20 no matter how efficiently we worked. It's a con job. Profit sharing and bonuses are real. Gainsharing is a fraud. It's not whining to call a lie a lie. And yes, many companies DO provide profit sharing and bonuses. Be a full timer at Publix or Mattress Firm and dozens of other retailers and you'll see what I mean.
If your store is still making labor by twenty to thirty thousand an fiscal period, and the company is looking to trim expenses., I think that would be an easy decision on where to cut next. Last year was the first year stores saw multiple cuts across the board. Most coworkers would rather get their hours and feel semi staffed . We have at least 2 teams where ft Tms have been getting 32 hours a week for years
We haven't gotten gain sharing in a while. You are lucky you get anything.Stop whining, most companies don't offer anything like that.
Gain sharing is dead along with salaried bonuses. Future pay cuts are already being planned.
$250 before taxes n $160 after taxes!!!
My store already has all store gainsharing
17$
Well over $300 after tax. Every store/department is different. Itll be all store gainsharing one day
