Only if it's valid and has merit.

Sue for what exactly?

Also those who took severence are barred from taking action less they pay back money, most of which probably spent already. So you already have less passion and support because those who were initially affected the most by this shift can't even get a piece of what they probably deserve in a lawsuit unless they have direct proof of unlawful labor practices, discrimination, etc.

I think your energy would be better spent searching for a new job with a better company. Whole Foods Market is a lost cause and a sinking ship---what good is a union in a company that's going under?

Too many bright-eyed 18 year old part timers who don't have a clue in my store. They don't know or care about the layoffs or how things used to be. WF "attritioned" enough of the seasoned TMs who know what's up, and replaced them with these disposable PTers who will just move on to the next $10/hr job when they're over it. Mackey's union busting aside, I don't see how we could get enough support to unionize even among employees because of this new high turnover, predominantly PT staff situation. I'm sure WFM designed it this way deliberately, in part to keep the disgruntled among us in the minority.

TWO WORDS: CHANGE.ORG. Make a petition, dont sound like a disgruntled employee. Talk about how WF has lost "knowledge" (what used to set them apart from others). Write a good petition and then start getting it out on Topix, Twitter, local newspapers, etc. Believe me the only way you will be successful is to do this. You have to get media to pick up story, otherwise no one will ever know.

C'mon. Just saying it doesn't make it happen. If you are serious then put together an executable plan and follow through. You can't just say charge! And expect people to run.

Mackey's strike busting private jets have just left Austin.

Get real. They'd pull a WalMart and CLOSE THE F---ING STORE before they'd let a Union take hold. Thats just the reality. We need to let go of the good old days; they're over.

Don't do this, it won't work. Instead, talk to customers about what's going on, let's get something internet viral.
