Since its clear Whole Foods continues to struggle witk its image and declining sales, maybe its time to lose the "hippy" image and go mainstream. Start drug testing employees and hire people that actually want a job and will work, not just people who apply because of who and what they think we are.

Most of the team leaders are alcohols!!! Damn place drives people to drink or take anxiety medication it's a sh--ty place to work!! Use to not be but like that but the uppers don't give a damn they will kick your a-- too the curb and hire someone else for $ 11 and burn them out too!

I go to other grocery stores to shop hole foods isnt getting a damn thin dime of the money I earn/slave for back!!!! To top it off the way they are screwing us out of hours how the hell could we afford to shop at the hole!!!!
Worker's comp??? SW region does not have worker's comp. Knew a girl who cut her fingertip in the cut room requiring surgery and two months recovery time. She was never drug tested. She also had short term disability insurance which I believe kicked in for her. Just sayin...

Most of us are alcoholics, not pot heads, just to deal with the stress due to the overload of work. I used to be a TL. Now I'm also the accountant, the PBS, the ISE and the signmaker. But, I guess, not for long according to the Mackievellian Plan.
If you get hurt on the job I would recommend a weed prescription
We do incident related drug testing. If you got hurt on the job and need workers comp you will have to take a piss test to fully clear yourself of liability.
Actually they should do pre-employment and incident-related drug testing. People who are high on smack, coke, meth etc are a safety hazard besides being total a-holes on a personal level. Has nothing to with being a hippy. I was there in the late 60s. Nothing "hippy" about meth and smack.
