Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

R10 makes me yearn for the old outdated registers

Always freezing, not printing receipts, won't let people sign in, and shutting off randomly. Call the hotline and get put on hold for 40 minutes just so they can tell you to turn it off and back on again. Is this our invenstment in technology? Half the time the coupons from the app don't even work when scanned.

No one should be surprised, because all of it still dependent on the clunky old technology that never went away. So look at the situation: 1. SAME IDIOTS IN CHARGE 2. SAME ORDERING AND RECEIVING SYSTEM UNDERNEATH IT ALL, SO THE SHINY NEW SYSTEMS STILL HAVE TO TALK TO THE SAME HORRIBLE OLD SYSTEM 3. SAME APPROACH TO TECHNOLOGY: LET'S BUILD OUR OWN INSTEAD OF USING BEST-IN-CLASS SOFTWARE 4. PROMISE THE MOON AND DELIVER A BIG TURD

the chips are way slower, but most of those other issues have stopped at my store.

Th r10 and new chip pos systems are much slower in the transactions too..we get lines of entitled shoppers at the drop of a hat now..and we know how the glamorous and entitled react to waiting lines..
