Nor cal store's bakery is self serve? I guess this means our customer service and core values are changing, just hope its not going Walmart. WTF??????

I used to work at some wholefoods back in new orleans and we had night bakers whom made the bread and cookie dough from scratch..man those cookies and cinnamon rolls were so good.we sell pre-fab,cheap labor crap with a lot of sugar nowadays
Thanks 1mfd, I didn't know they were still trying to sell dog food as if it were filet mignon. But it doesn't surprise me. Since I left WFM (saw the writing on the wall 18 months ago) and left the South area I haven't been back to one since and will never go back again. But I love to come here and pile on. I will party like it's 1999 once this thing is finally sold (for pennies on the dollar I would bet) and the executives get summarily fired with stock almost (hopefully) worthless. Karma may take time but it has a funny way of being right on time when it happens.
@1znf- "used to" scoop cookie dough out of a previously frozen bucket? We always have, as far as I know. We just now started baking a few of our own breads and apparently that's some big revolutionary thing.
South region used to scoop their cookie dough out of big buckets, previously frozen. So much for fresh baked. And the taste? Overly sweetened, gooey, mass produced crap.
Maybe they can make their own cake?
How does this work for cake orders? Do you just fill out a form like costco?
