I'm not interested in relocating or being a combo team leader. Doesn't WF have to give us severance due to internal restructuring? Does anyone know how this was handled in the regions that have already been through team combos? Leadership is still saying that it will all be handled through "attrition and promotion" but now we are just weeks away and I don't see that happening.

Is the stock price on a "attrition" plan too?? That crap hasnt gone anywhere in like a year
Simple answer NO NADA ZILCH ZERO severance package for anyone
I don't think people will be offered severance. In the South region, the initial "restructure" (layoffs), everyone was offered severance when we were losing buyers and supervisors. However, when teams were combined, it was through "attrition", meaning they are giving us ample time to find another job outside of our store or quit, I guess, but no severance was offered.
I'm referring to the combo team specifically called Market Team which is grocery/ whole body to start with and eventually to include specialty. The only TL positions that will not combine are produce and front end. This is based on your stores sales volume of course at least for FY 2017
Who said any other teams are being combined? Where you told that your store was doing this next year?
^^^ either you want to be helpful or you want to be insulting to someone asking a question. I'm seeking knowledgeable opinions and not snark.
Non-binding, but there is precedent set with the severance packages given last fall + the GIG policy. So, you would be likely to win severance even with a mediocre lawyer if you meet the conditions.
The gig is non binding.
Read the GIG! you all have access to it through Workday

There is no law which states that employers must provide severance pay to employees who are being laid off. Instead, severance is voluntary on the part of the employer.
Exactly. WF doesn't "have to give" you anything.
You won't get any severence. Be better at your job or move on.
