I witnessed discrimination in purest form.
I reported to HR as written in the employee handbook. The person was moved very easily to a new department. The department along with HR turned on me and gamed me out.
Is this a class action lawsuit? I have emails with the complaint.
Just as a rule of thumb - complaining to HR is your ticket out! Your 5 or more managers, possibly even 10, managers will get pissed and proceed to get you out either by lay-off or whatever game is being played at the time!
HR need to realize that Management is where the money is - removing a bunch of management layers will add up to bigger savings with less productivity impact than laying off a bunch of hardworking employees.
Something similar happened to me when I made a complaint to HR and was told to get back to HR in a few weeks. I was promptly laid off and told my position was eliminated. A month later the position was filled. Already spoke to lawyer who agreed to take the case but we're waiting for the final deferred income payments in Feb to be processed before proceeding since BofA already proved they're retaliatory. I also plan to include their discriminatory settling of pension payouts. That should be even more fun. Good luck with your case.
I to, made an anonymous complaint.
A person on my team had been cheating on their time keeping records, reporting time they did not work .. And management approved the time anyway.
The time cheater was never dealt with, and the manager was promoted to a VP.
After this, I was contacted by an HR higher up, and was told to basically keep my noise out of others ... and to not bring this up again.
