I thought the same as the comments below back when I didn't know any better. Now I know that there isn't a thing that would ever make me want to go back. Crazy schedules, working on weekends and holidays, low wages, smelling like food after work, constant disrespect from customers... no thank you!

I realize I just described the entire retail/food service industry but hey it is what it is.

Pretty decent money for a low stress job, health insurance is cheap, discount makes it affordable to shop there, was able to move up quickly, my coworkers are hilarious

tl generally lets me work my desired hours, time off requests are never denied, making decent money for low stress job, never have to take trips to the grocery store, food discount, generally work with cool people. i'd rather not spend 40 hours a week there but let's be realistic, most jobs in the current economy either s--- or are a joke.

It's a job and I have been there long enough to get free insurance. They don't mind that I smoke weed when I am NOT at work. At my age you don't quit a job - they will have to fire me or something greater will have to come along.

I know the company has majorly changed. I know my days could be numbered.

I'll deal with that when I get there.

Whole foods has no competition our prices are high and our competitors are low. Thanks Whole Foods for lowering your prices like you said you would 5 years ago now you know why we have no business and our sales are plummeting.

Whole foods likes you to think that the competition is worse, but that is not true. Just look at how hard they work to appose unions. UNIONS ONLY SAFEGUARD THE TEAM MEMBERS.

Not still better than most of the competition, omk. Around my city the regional/local natural food stores pay better, have better profit-sharing (or are employee owned), and don't make claims to have amazing benefits without delivering. They don't stand on pomp and circumstance while engaging in shady, closed door conversations and witch hunts. People who have left and working for competition here are way happier and glad to have gotten out.

PT insurance is almost nonexistent. However, no one gets PT20, so I guess it's a moot point.
