Redundant region coordinators

We need to lay off a bunch of those redundant region coordinators who do not do any heavy lifting and send out cookie cutter merchandising plans that don't work for every store in their regions..

I work in the Florida region and the difference between our Miami stores to the north Florida stores is huge..

My coordinator always said my team was only so-so (bottom fourth!) when he ranked us in the region, this was year after year same thing, but he only visited once a year when he came to do my JD, so how the heck did he know what kind of a job we did? On paper we hit all of our numbers every quarter. If you looked around everything was according to regional guidelines. We are experienced retailers and do what makes sense and we sell a TON of product. In fact, we are tops in the company on many measures, but still he did not care about us like he did his faves. And on those brief once a year visits he was usually "too busy" to even walk the floor and see what we were doing. I am so glad the prick has moved on to a competitor. Buh bye...

The coordinators are useless. What a joke!

They walk in the store with their hands in their pockets just say Hi, how's it going and leave. Ever heard of helping out the department.....

The people at regional are smarter than you are, and are better retailers, so show some respect!

@2kpc- I used my proxy vote for the paltry amount of stocks I own to vote against every board member, and for each proposed accounting report. Of course the board themselves and the banks that control them will bury my votes, but, hey ,I tried.

Almost two years now since I got out. Until the regional and global leadership are all fired and the Board of Directors is replaced, or they all die off, don't expect any real change. It's all just window dressing... re-arranging deck chairs on the bloody Titanic.

When i used to work there all i got was forward emails from my coordinators. Prob once a month they would send their own email reminding us about a policy. They sure do need coordinators for that. And i never saw my coordinator until christmas. Am so glad i dont work there anymore. Bunch of wonkers.

They need to combine the meat and seafood coordinator's role and make it lean.
