(@ss)Whole Fraud Market.

I guess we now know what happens when you give WFM "leaders" (ie grocery baggers) 6 figure executive salaries. They are drunk with money and power. They ride this ship to the bottom of the ocean while minimum wagers scurry off like rats to greener pastures.

No explanation needed. I don't trust any of them. The GIG is vague on it's explanation of partial absences. I'm just going to do the smart thing and leave this sinking ship.

Don't ask important questions here like this when it has to do with you maybe getting corrective action. This question is better answered by logging into Workday and reading the GIG policy on time and attendance. What used to be on paper and was called the GIG Book is now readable on Workday. If you need an explanation go to your TMSG/PBS or your team's: trainer, supervisor, ATL, or TL.

Honestly since the first round of layoffs almost all turnover has been voluntary with very few terminations for cause, job abandonment, moving, found other job, failure to return from leave of absence and death far outweighed any firings. I know my store leadership was happy to just have team members show up and they were not looking for reasons to fire people when we were so busy just trying to plug holes of the new hires who did not last a month. I had access to pull reports for the entire company , and pulled it weekly, if was pretty interesting to see how many 10 and 20 plus year leadership, regional and global team members had started to leave voluntarily.

Whole Foods is so lawyered up it's ridiculous. I laugh when ppl say go to TMS with questions. That's a sure way to get railroaded.

Maybe regions have different attendance policies in mine three in 30'days is a corrective action, it can be any combination of full or partial days absent so calling it a partial does change the weight of how it applies to the corrective action process. Before I left Tms they were talking about going to a global points system so every region had the same attendance policy and it would carry when you transferred. The current Kronos system was upgraded to allow tls to track attendance and make notes, and workday can also be used that way. I do not know if any regions rolled out this capability to their leadership team yet. There are teams that don't keep attendance at all, so yes attendance is not being applied equally.

So...if there are two partial absences, does it equal one full absence?

Anything up to an hour is a partial absence. That has been company-wide for a long time now.

Does a partial absence count differently in other regions, in mine it counts just the same as a full shift missed.

What if I told you that the TMIS herself stated it counts as a partial absence?

If you come in a half hour late or leave a half hour early it is considered an absence.

Anytime you don't complete your shift it is an absence. Now the interesting part comes in if the family emergency is something that would make WFM look bad in the news. If it would be the last absence that would terminate you and ithe reason was someone broke into your house and shot your pregnant wife so you had to leave vs, daycare closes at 6 and you get fines for late pickup, of course if you don't have any attendance issues this should never come into play as it takes a series of reported absences to incur corrective action.

I'll post this question here, rather than waste my time with tmsl...

If you are scheduled 5 am to 1 pm, punch in at 5, but have to leave for a family emergency at 11, is that a full absence?
