I'm out and you should get out as well. There is life outside whole foods. It feels amazing to be out of the place. No more putting up with crazy customers and management that have no clue how to run a business. GOOD LUCK TO U All.

Oh and the more willing you are to take a pay cut at first from TL pay the better off you'll be. I was a meat TL with 6 yrs experience. I took a huge pay cut 4 years ago. But a few jobs later I'm a hell of a lot better off now than some TL buddies of mine who have just been waiting for the perfect high paying opportunity right out the gate from grocery store management.
Hey envious TL, don't forget, the first job outside retail management might not be ideal, but the closer you get to having retail off your work history for good the better your next job will be. I had to be patient and get a couple so so jobs under my belt when I left retail until I landed a really good one.
I have an interview for a self storage place on Tuesday. I'll take anything at this point, but this sounds like there could actually be some down time which would be pretty cool.
I envy all who got out!! I as a team leader am trying to get out too!
So far I have had no luck finding the job that I want all I know is I want out of retail mgmt.
When I leave WFM I am not looking back.

Same here, no pension though.
I got out of retail. Monday Tru Friday 8 to 5 weekends off, paid holidays and a pension.
Did you get out of retail or just go to another grocery store lol. I got out of retail a year ago and wow I feel like I graduated into adulthood haha. Now when ppl ask me how my weekend was I'm actually happy to talk about it and not pissed cause I was working.
Wish my wfm friends would get out too so we could hang out again.
Of course there is life outside of Whole Foods. It is just a grocery store. I can't believe the amount of people that have left Whole Foods that behave as if they have escaped a cult. It seems like a lot of people experience some sort of PTSD. I've seen that place do weird things to people mentally. Life will always be waiting for those who decide to better their situations and leave that company behind. It's like a black hole that somehow makes people lose sense of self worth and destroys people's confidence. The real world isn't nearly as horrible as a wacko Whole Foods panel interview. I once had 6 people interview me for a 14 dollar an hour position. When I left I was making 20 an hour coloring and being high all day. Those are the days I do miss sometimes.
