Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

No need for kroger to buy whole foods...

they are already beating them at their own game. whole foods will go under $10 while kroger goes to $45+. Whole foods problem is they aren't small enough to be brought out anymore. small companies can be incorporated into an existing culture a lot easier and with less mess. Whole foods would need a complete overhaul from a leadership standpoint, something they are too arrogant to do now. Large, independent grocers will gobble up the smaller players and whole foods will be left holding the bag and will eventually disappear. There is nothing that whole foods does that can't be easily copied by anyone else....this will eventually be their demise. I have 1,000 shares left of over 4,000 and I am trying to move this into a IRA sponsored brokerage through my fidelity account so that i can actually buy individual stocks instead of the crap that they offer through the traditional 401k. the sprouts/albertson deal is real just like the tam deal was real. both those companies went public at much higher prices and the employees and early investors at the retail level got screwed while the executives made hundreds of millions. same is happening with whole foods but in a different way, watch.

Excellent post. Very astute. Look around and read the financial analyses on Kroger, Publix, Wegman's, Meijer, TJs, H-E-B Central Market, Costco etc., all the online sellers including Amazon with its Prime and Fresh initiatives, plus all the natural foods grocery competitors out there. @2wrm is right. Get ready for a massive golden parachute drop and everyone here is DONE. Get out now.

With the 14 million customers lost by WFM, Kroger can just sit back and enjoy the ride, it's only a matter of time before Mackey takes a nice golden parachute and the rest of you are f---ed!

Great Post. Post is on point. Only option would be private equity in which the assets would be liquidated essentially.
