Umm no. Many don't drive to work, they are picked up by BAC-paid shuttle services.
STS is a joke. I have no idea where they found these people. My guess is they hire 10 of these for the cost of 2 good people. 10 guys from India sharing a one bedroom apartment and driving into the office in a VW bug, a.k.a. clown style. If they actually knew WTF they were doing, it wouldn't be so painful.
How is GDC promoting diversity? Just about every hire from India is Indian!

I am genuinely distressed at the deterioration of quality wrought by the layoffs and the implementation of Shared Services. It is now taking 3 - 5 times longer to get anything done
GDC means Generic Diversity Compromise - so you can get 5 Indians for 1 US worker. 100 years ago or more that would have been great like 5 steel workers would probably be better than 1 but these days in the modern world where knowledge and skill are worth more than sheer labor, this is not a good idea.

Based on the behavior and comments of managers this week, I'd say base funded employees are being targeted. And we continue to be told we cannot fill positions unless we fill them with GDC.
