So...amazon has a drug and alcohol testing requirement for hiring. Bye Falecia...finally might have some TM that can work without slipping off to refresh themselves. Please say its so. My druggie TL is high at work...can't read or write...stinks yet she is awarded a 30.00 plus wage. Lazy as u know what.

I think Mary Jane is the only qualified motorized pallet jack operator I know. She's so popular.
Pots not the worst of it...shes a coke head.
of course if you are operating dangerous machinery then it should be a requirement that you are not high on the job - however, that should not apply to your non-work life. this was something the company actually understood well. most companies drug test because the government gives them incentives to, it is clearly inefficient, invasive and a waste of time. air quotes do little to help your case, especially when key members of our society and the executives themselves (in every industry mind you) are not subject to the same drug testing policies. if anything, these kinds of policies simply encourage more dangerous drug use such as alcohol and stimulant use to avoid detection. it's not realistic and using straw men situations is not very convincing. most people endanger themselves driving more than they ever do at their jobs. most high paying jobs and industries actually don't care about stuff like this, they know it simply distracts from collecting the best possible talent pool.
Sorry but those 'draconian policies' are in effect at 99% of all companies because irresponsible drug addicts cause accidents where people freakin' lose limbs, get head injuries and die. There are vehicle crashes, forklift mishaps, cuts and bruises, all sorts of problems including yes, execs who can't make good decisions...Sound familiar? Insurance isn't going to cover this and pre-employment and post-incident drug and alcohol testing are entirely NORMAL. Get over it. Just try to find a job anywhere without those policies.
lol @ jealous posters who can't handle their sh-- and even bigger lol @ those who can't handle it still trying to come into work high. but yes, let's support draconian policies like employee drug testing because I'm upset with a few terrible employees who would be awful anyway.
Well if people smoke on there own time so be it. But I have worked with TL and ASTL that come to work high which makes it kind of hard to take them seriously.
Yes. Start at the regional offices! And yes, the new owners CAN require drug testing as a condition bof continued employment!
Even if they were to make that the official policy, it wouldn't effect anyone already hired. That's not necessarily even going to happen. More and more companies are moving away from drug testing because it's costly and doesn't really have much of an effect on the hiring/pool of candidates. I'm sorry the stoner clique at your store was mean to you, but please put your vendetta against marijuana users to rest.
Weed isn't a drug.....man
Bahahhahahaha! 1nv1 Vice from 2015? Good luck with all that! No company that does business in Cali taking people to court on that, they lose time and time again...
