So mackey n crew claim they are gonna magically cut $300 million to boost the eps and stockholder value (where do they get that "stakeholder crap in the core values)..so where do you think these cuts will occur? I think they said they would get this done in a few years.

Exactly, retail is a notoriously bad space to work in. Make yourself better and get something better for a living. That or quit whining and accept it for what it is.
Everything that mis-management is promising now is based on waving a series of turbo-charged magic wands. More of the same... FREE ADVICE: If you really love the grocery business then go to work for TJ's, Publix, Wegman's, etc. If you really love retail then sell cars or mattresses. If you don't, then GET OUT OF RETAIL forever. But don't stay here unless you really need all this negative drama in your life. I've been gone for two years and things are VASTLY better once you get out.
get them dead weight astl's upstairs watching cameras..the regional coordinators who sit and watch some camera at regional too...global redundant positions...regional safety coodinators???
Stop wowing to win over idiot guests who are upset about trivial things. Stop giving them gift cards because their squash went bad after 39 days in the fridge left to ferment. Stop giving orientation team members 15 dollar gift cards when 10 is enough for lunch. Or cater their lunch with a set priced boxed one. Ssi and store artist are useless positions. Never understood why they don't ship out sign changes in uniform fashion like all other stores.

Of course more layoffs we have still done nothing to shake our Whole Paycheck reputation. The quality of all the recent hires has been on a steady decline as well.
Let's keep cutting labor. Each department should be allowed half a person per shift from now on. Why not? The departments are all going to be combined anyway.
Why not cut that crazy 5% off invoice at UNFI and let us get our credits. They screw up like crazy on our orders. We need to do away with sampling for a while because the guests are clearly out of control. They abuse the sampling as a lunch/dinner meal. Cut it for 6 months then possibly bring back under better rules and control then just simply "yes, eat whatever you want". Stop allowing regional to send in promos, they send in way more than we need or want. A lot ends up as spoilage. We don't need all the Global and Regional people, that would be a huge savings. They are paid a lot of money to do nothing. Why not have a team member focus group, a mix from tm, buyers, atls, tls and stls. Your TM's know what the customers really want.

Maybe get rid of useless positions like artists and marketing teams. That would be a great start. Do we still have healthy eating specialists? Hmm...
