Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Bank of America is losing its biggest assets

Sr. Management at the bank has no idea of the talent they are losing. They think just outsourcing it is simple and done. It's not! It takes years to learn process and systems. Looking to improve a quarters bottom line at the expense of continual quarters of loses is bad business decisions. Brain drain will destroy BofA plain and simple and the only advise that can be learned from all this is... If you work there, focus on yourself first and use your 40 hours to train and not do your work. And if you take a job there, do the same. You'll end up being used and abused in any case, easier to take their money and invest it in yourself first and only. Consider working there very temporary.

Couldn't agree more, @D4lUFA6-c9yhs. It's all about short term gains to detriment of long term operations. If the management doesn't care, why should we?

Workers get treated with contempt because they are unorganized and frightened.

In a lot of companies, SR Management don't have any real skills or competence and so they can't really appreciate the skills and competence of those that actually get things done. SR Management level is just about who you know and how much they like you and that you don't rock the boat or piss off anyone. Those below this level are just line items to be bought or sold. Oh - and then it's all about the hard decisions that need to be made!
