Hey all, ex-SGA here. Just curious with how things have been with the artists and all. I was recently in the new Bryant Park store and saw there was a whole ONE chalk illustration. Any hope for the job continuing as at least a graphic design position, or do you think the position will be eliminated entirely?

I would be somewhat surprised if they didn’t cut back on signmakers. They replace allot of stuff with tv screens now in stores so they don’t need someone to make deli boards or calendars.Allot of them do cool stuff but most of the posters will probably get outsourced instead of having them printed in store.
We keep losing our GAs to other jobs...and we rehire for the position. Our current GA is two months new. She is always busy...especially since Amazon keeps changing signage detail.

JOB DESCRIPTION:Work hands-on with the reset team to safely perform basic light construction duties such as; relocate or adjust position of stock currently on display; relabel shelves with new pricing labels; place products, information, signage, stickers or other required materials in strict accordance with Plan-O-Grams, photos or other written or verbal instructions.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Ideal candidates will have at least three months of experience in retail resets, merchandising, and/or light construction, and will have experience traveling to different project sites within a region
.•Must be able to perform repetitive bending, standing and walking, and be able to pull, push and lift materials up to 50 - 75 pounds.
•Maintain a consistent work record, including reporting on-time, work within strict safety guidelines and adhere to company's rules and policies.
•Have reliable transportation, current driver's license and insurance, and be willing to consent to taking drug and background screenings.
Must have open availability for day or night shifts.
Must be able to travel resident state, and surrounding states. Travel will present more opportunities for more work.
Pay Rate: $13.50/hr. to $14.50 an hr. or based on experience.
It be eliminated entirely , everything coming from REgional there will be no need for a SGA
