Manager just told me that my position got eliminated after 21 years with the bank.

I know they replaced me with the offshore people in India, because I have been asked to train them for the past couple of months. Ten years ago, our team had ZERO India employee, now all except me are based on offshore at India, who are making far less money. BOA is bluntly violates the federal fair employment law by hiring foreigners for less pay, to replace US employee, they cannot get away with this.

I'm collecting signatures from people whose position was impacted by the outsourcing to foreign countries, mainly India. Also start a public campaign to let people know what BOA has been doing to us ordinary employee here in the States.

So many of my coworkers and peers were laid off about 2 - 2 1/2 hours ago from Charlotte. Many in the Gateway location in IT / Tech and many up north as well and West Coast! More are set for tomorrow! This really s---s. Once again, we as Managers don't even know what the EFF is going on.

My manager hired a college grad from his native village back from his native country and next day my senior manager asked me to handover my stuff to my lead. Never ever in my 12 years of IT career I felt humiliated especially being a veteran, I will never ever work for them again.

I'm afraid they will layoff co-workers who need their jobs and keep me. I can go. Wish we could update our profiles with an indication of interest in continuing our careers or not.

Layoffs always occur every year typically in every quarter.....beginning of June of every year is a popular time for layoffs, although March is not out of the question and I can see that being the probability from observations of years past and the fact it is the end of the 1st Q......expect layoffs every quarter throughout the year

I’m ready! Bring the package!

I have been here 18 years, considered top talent and am just done with the bureaucracy. Qualify for Rule of 60 and would be thrilled to get severance. Wish I could nominate myself without it impacting February bonus.

How long does it take to get the rid of 100% of population if you layoff 1-2% twice a year? Keep it simple. No need to take into account new additions as those are voided by the good ppl who will not tolerate the additional work load, job insecurity, etc.

Scare mongering?

No layoffs in HPE, unless you are a really pathetic performer.. which is approx 1 -2% of the workforce.

Rest is just scare mongering.
