After getting a crappy TL who became power hungry at my store, she chased me away. not the layoff.
These team leaders need training. Its like giving a doctor a job without the proper training.
Agree with the below post both positions have no real prospect in moving up. Save up your PTO stay seasonal to cash out your PTO slowly while you work your other job to make up the difference in the possibility you take a pay cut.
Other jobs exist out there. If offered severance take it! I hope they offer it to me soon. I plan on bailing after 15 years. Good riddance. Whole Foods is no more.
Many at corporate used to work at stores. Believe me when I tell you that lower levels at corporate still pass on info to us in the trenches. SSS and GA are going. So are many buyers and marketers. It may not be as soon as right after the holidays like the OP said, but it is very soon. Of course it isn't a layoff, because they publicly stated no more layoffs. it is is a restructuring. That is the keyword they are using to avoid bad press.
I love all the natural and organic products at TJ, Aldi and now, Lidl. Whole who? I predict that Amazon will take a massive charge against earnings in the next year to write off a huge non-performing chunk of one of the worst corporate investment decisions in history.
SW certainly did offer severance for these folks... if offered take it and run.

If they already told you that you are entitled to severance, I would think they would have to honor that

Well WF should be ready to pay out allot of fines the teams do a horrible job of tag and tare maintenance. I have worked in multiple stores and it is quite bad and I know its not better elsewhere.

Although I'm not sure if OP has hard data on when this will happen. All SSSs and GAs are aware that parts of their jobs have been cut over the past two years before Amazon even entered the picture. We all see the writing on the wall.
