I've been with WFM for over ten years. The past two months I keep hoping they will lay me off. I can find a better job. I'm stuck until they kick me out. I get disappointed every time I see nothing new posted here about layoffs.

I check this site, daily, hoping for some concrete postings regarding layoffs.
I believe they are just trying to torture us, at this point!
I wonder if they think we DON’T want to be laid off?

After 8ish years, I quit this week. A severance would’ve been nice (if that even happens) but a stress free holiday season with my family for the first time maybe ever is good enough for me. Later on Food Hole.
Are you all that confident that you’d receive severance? If you’re passively waiting and hoping to get let go, I say you deserve to get left high and dry with no package. You need to be interviewing with other companies now if you’re so sure your days are numbered.
Don’t let wfm call your shots for you, that’s what they want.
Feeling the same way. Hoping January brings a change and an envelope as we move into the new Amazon fiscal year.
Every time Amazon lowers prices my hours get cut. Maybe their going to keep on lowering prices/hours until we all just up and quit.
...there is a feeling of dread at my store. I chuckle everytime I think about the uplifting "Thanksgiving Email" from John and Omar...what an excellent fluff piece to wipe with. I need to know if someone thought that these words were to make everyone feel better or to alleviate some guilt about new lay-offs veiled as "restructuring."
They should just do what they need to do and get rid of TM's soon as it seems that the workers at the store level are not valuable. Hopefully, once the stores suffer more, they will make the worthless metro managers do more than hide behind their computer "answering email" all day.
I too am just tired of the waiting game....
That would be my luck....they would hand out severance packages the week after I quit!! I am glad to see I am not the only one waiting this out. It is a weird between-worlds kind of a feeling.
I might even go through a promotion soon all the while knowing in my heart that my passion is gone for WFM. It feels dishonest on my part.

I think many of us have been waiting for the other shoe to drop since the first wave of marketing and GA layoffs in 2015. I think they planned on more people leaving through attrition. I am burnt out from the constant paranoid feeling that it's about to happen, only for another month to go by with only vague information. I wan't to move on with my life, but I don't want to regret not waiting for severance.
This could have been written by at least 10 people that I know of... lol
