Mystery Regional Meetings Dec 4th

Rumor has it Regional folks are scrambling to get a Global position. Do we really need 13 or 14 Presidents? 13 Executive “this & that” unnecessary positions? 13 Coordinators (for each team), 13 Regional Buyers (For each team) and the whole lot? It’s all going to be centralized (Global), maybe 2 Regions ...not 13 or 14. All that B.S OTS or SOP crap they created to look important or attempt to justify their existence is coming back to bite them in the a--...you see, if it’s standard everywhere ...then you don’t require so many people making the “big” decisions. I hope someone from Amazon realizes what a big waste of time OTS is, The demands are unrealistic and TL’s are now secretary’s, 30 freaking clipboards that nobody reads. Oops, got off track....yeah, what has happened to us at the store level with layoffs, teams merging, etc. etc. will now happen to them.

Maybe it was about how to cover up the mass layoffs via firings? I have to give it to them, their tactics are strong but are they ethical?

In my region at least the regional team was told in 2015 the week of the big layoffs to start looking at global or store level positions as most of their jobs would cease to exist ..again it would be attrition at first and at somee point all but a few would be based out of central, just think about the labor and real estate savings by having 1 or 2 offices...and most of the global jobs do not pay nearly as much.
