I was let go do to a small issue. As a contractor, to I have any recourse? I never even got to tell my side of the story.

Contractors are 99% likely to be be let go, as opposed to 98% for non-contractors.
@R02HTfS-7isp, obviously you don't understand English, maybe you learned English in India, China, or maybe Japan? Diversity and a b---s--- racist bias, that somehow envisages a kind of default competence in those eastern countries, may open doors for you but it doesn't substitute for intelligence or competence in a competitive economy!

The fact that there was some issue how ever trivial is not good as a contractor or employee especially with lay-offs around the corner. It is even worse if you are not Indian. Good luck, as being a contractor you are better off elsewhere.

if you were an 'at-will' employee you would have no recourse, what makes you think a contractor has any protection?

Assuming you were placed by an agency/vendor - check with them on the terms of your contract.
