The last 3 weeks I noticed that several people are working while sick with respiratory complications possibly concerned to use their sickdays, I have seen this scenario several times at other organizations, but never thought I would see it at this corporation. If you are sick use your time don't spread it due corporate pressure, it is a right after all.

More time not at desk, more likely to be laid off.
The crappy ObamaCare oriented health plans do not cover much of a doctors visit and medicine so people just stay sick for longer these days.
Are you sitting close to the sick person? Why don’t you simply ask him/her to work remotely or take sick leave? If they refuse to then I would make the case with my manager that I must work remotely since I would not want to get sick and jeopardize my family and friends health.
Employees won’t take it because they are afraid they will be let go. Contractors don’t take sick days because they want to get paid.
It is true managers and executives say get well and take care of your self, but they don't stop sending emails or meeting invites. It is such a double standard.
