Somebody mentioned this in another thread and it resonated with me. With all the money Amazon has, is there any chance there will be some substantial investments into our run down stores?
Isn't WFM now the face of Amazon as well? How does it reflect on it to own a bunch of stores that last looked good a decade ago?

I love to go to a grocery and relax with a beer and hear pages over the intercom every 8 seconds for a cleanup in the dairy aisle.
The NA stores are run down as someone mentioned. But, let's throw a lot a lot of good money after bad and invest in things like pubs and restaurants because that's why people go to grocery stores.
In which region is your store that’s undergoing a 3.5 million renovation?
No more WFM for my family and friends. They’re no more than a Food Lion, Walmart and/or Target. Good luck Team Leaders, you’re going to need it.

All Amazon wants is to be closer to consumers, so they can ship stuff to you in 2 hours. They don't care about organics or stores. Actually I think they want them to be run down and for us to drop the ball, so they can come in and clear things out! R.I.P Whole Foods!
Google the Bean Team, they have been in the store several times, taking pictures of everything, don't think its to freshen up, I think its for major change, like goodbye, bakery, meat, seafood, specialty, Full steam to Walmart format, except it will not be called Whole Foods Market, more like Amazon Grocery or something like it.
Don’t expect stores to look any better. These guys only care about money. Find other grocery stores to spend your money.
All the city stores in the NA are dumps other then Ink block because it’s newer. STL get more in bonuses when they don’t spend money on there stores.
