What’s with all the Last Chance tags in the stores? I don’t work at WFM anymore but still shop there. It’s pretty obvious they are getting rid of LOTS of products. What gives?

I have made a list of over 65 very common items that I used to buy Every week that WFs has removed from shelves- many are quite essential yet they keep very odd things like 12 different brands of kosher pickles and not one brand of dills used in ordinary hamburgers. Do these marketers live on this planet????
Most stores that are not high volume are seeing a reduction in variety to improve efficiency. Also, "Last Chance" tags and discounts are applied whenever a product's UPC changes for any reason unless there is minimal inventory of that product, so some of those items are not actually being discontinued.
I quit two year agos after 11 years at WFM and went in the other day just to see how it looks now. Wow. Almost like Sprouts and Aldi had a baby.
We needed to disco millet to make room for cake cups.
Duh!
Gotta make room for the new trendy stuff....like chicken pop tarts.
How dare you mock my fake space agency!

Amazon owns us . That's what gives!!!!!
last chance, now 2 cents less!
Hey, JB here; To answer the query about last chance tags... Just wanted to get rid of the extra items being sold at WFM to make room for some more Amazon lockers! Nothing to see here, move on, see you on Venus.
Like the higher ups tell the stores anything about what’s going on. Good luck getting a straight answer out of anyone about anything.
