Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

MyWork - GTO

We just received the presentation deck from last week's all-hands call. I noticed in the addressee list, there were names with "deleted" attached...meaning they left or were let go recently. Since their profiles are still Flagscape, I did some research. About 6 out 8 were who let go were MyWork employees. Noticed the same in your group?

Yep, she sure ran Yahoo into the ground. Just pick something to blame such as "work from home" and you have your cause for all the ills of the company. When a manager starts looking for something or someone to blame for their own incompetence you better take cover. Although "work from home" does obscure all the work that has been done in the diversity campaign. If people work from home no one will be able to see the diversity achievements and so all the hard work will be in vain.

To 2xlb : Agree with you totally. Cathy Bessant should have learned from Melissa Meyers.

There are people who prefer to go office in order to be "visible", Being visible is not the same as being productive. I might as well do my work quietly. At the end of the day, my product will speak for itself.

It is personally hard to deal with some of the sh-- i have to hear from my peers and manager(s). Does that count?

Look at the Bank's own documentation - the only valid reasons for being in the MyWork program are medical disability (ADA accommodation) or personal hardship (decision made at the Bank's discretion).

The deck we received was in an email where hundreds of names of associates under an MD (won't say who) were in the address list. So right there, we could see who was "(deleted)".

I was LO last week and Thursday morning I walk in and I knew I was being LO only because 2 others in our group were let go and when I logged on and try to Skype/MOC some one next to my name was "deleted" in light Gray plus my manager text at 10pm and asked if I was coming in Thursday since I had Wednesday off.

They will probably delete this thread. They never even bother to tell others on your team that the team was affected. You find out when communicator shows deleted for a long time team member and work is redistributed. I get for privacy reasons names can't be shared but they could at least say. Our team was affected by a reduction in force and xx number were let go. They stopped doing any kind of announcement like that a few years ago.

there is a very easy way to determine once a person has left or gotten laid off, simply go to skype communicator and look that person up and go to profile or organization list within the skype setting for that person, you will see something like john.doe@bankofamerica.com(deleted), or some variation of this..........means person is gone
