Workers always blame their managers rather than MDs. But their managers not get paid well for responsible they bear. MD, in contrast, get paid more than what they delivered. Removing redundant MDs is a key to BAML’s success.
Sounds like the IT structure for most groups in NYC?
Apparently operational excellence is not employed in this division
Having 5 layers under the MD does create a nice career path for all those new Indians entering at the bottom and so diversity or at least a fake form of diversity is really thriving here.
The MD's aren't the main problem! It's the 5 managers under him or her that are usually a total waste! There should be only 1 manager between an Employee worker and the MD and not more. Otherwise it's just passing paper work up and down and coordinating approvals that in total achieve nothing but frustration for workers that just want to get things done.
