bofa is a cesspool! worst, most toxic company in my 25 year career and having worked in many other corporate cultures.
When I asked the HR person so what if I didn't take their suggestion to resign, she absolutely refused to answer my question and kept repeating she did not understand my question. I told her I understood that she was not allowed to answer and asked if I could ask a govenment agency for help - she encouraged me to do so.
The government person told me this was b---s--- and I could just ignore it. But then again, I thought I was better off by taking the bribe money anyway and pursue better opportunities. So far, I am better off both career-wise and financially (my job is almost the same as what it was at bofa but more technical and no conference calls)
My honest evaluation of BofA is that they are very insincere.
gt&o lay-off today
As one who was laid off his comments are full of sxxx
“The trick to managing such a massive number of layoffs is to allow a company's natural attrition rate — usually, about 10 percent — to reduce the human toll of job cuts. By taking advantage of the people who are leaving jobs voluntarily, the firm can attempt to move staff made redundant into new positions. The bank also has a solid severance package for those being terminated, he said.”
The package was not great. You are forced to sign away any rights. GT&O just laid off to lay-off.
