No prorated bonus

Word of mouth and some posts here last year said that annual bonuses were prorated if one were severed after mid-year. There's no mention of it in the severance package and none was received on Feb 15. Thought you'd want to know.

I heard that if you are separated in the second half of the year, you would see a portion of bonus in the separation package. Separated in the first half of the year, you would see none of the current year.

Bonuses are not pro-rated, although commissions may be. If you were separated after bonus decisions were made (in about October/November), then you got one. If you were separated before then, you are out of luck.

This company is bad enough without just making stuff up about them.

Bonuses are discretionary and if you were getting one you would get it at separation
