Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

hours cut to make labor?

appearantly we need to make labor even if we are under fulltime status. We are not guaranteed more than 36 like the committment said to team members .When in the world does market team cut hours to adjust for labor and them the store management sign of on it? I can’t pay my rent anymore i’m late with eviction notice due to whole foods messing up? The schedule gets reposted and signed off 2-3 times and we are held accountable when changes made on our days off.Does this haopen at other stores?

Always, always, ALWAYS take a photo of your schedule. That's literally all you need to protect you if your schedule is changed without your knowledge.

I should rephrase what I said. Kronos is a great tool. It will reduce hours on team members who have poor availability. If you are not willing to be flexible you will lose out.

Kronos is already here and has been here for many of us. It doesn't require you to slim down hours unless you were banking a lot of overtime. If anything, it keeps you working sane hours. And, like the post below, our store has been constantly hiring and sales are still beating YOY.

my astl’s and store support tl spent all day looking at schedules didn’t even come down today.

do they know the average hours report will show the hours worked?

whole foods can’t hide it’s problems within.

kronos does not lie!

by the way when posted miss punches they are prefilled we are never asked so we just sign off as asked by leadership the lunches are never verified we are being robbed of our salaries.

Often we use PTO hours to make up scheduled 36 hours or 34 hours and bring up to 40. Tms like to save PTO hours for that reason and not take vacation. You never know when labor will be short and PTO hours needed to make up pay checks.

But I don't know of a single TM in our store that have had their hours cut.

When the merger (Amazon/WF) was first announced, I read Amazon worker comments somewhere that said that Amazon operates this way. Cut hours and let employees use their PTO to make up the difference.
