Even though this may seem trivial, I think that this actually some good advise from @X9kwNvp-5wzt . If we are going to go, why give them the satisfaction?

Good luck with getting your belongings back. I worked in HR and was laid off two years ago. I had a personal phone charger stolen off my desk (again I worked in HR so you would have hoped people were more ethical). I had packed most of my desk because I knew it was only time but I still had a few pictures and chargers. It took 4 months of emails to my manager in London before anything was done and I did make them reimburse me for my stolen items. But as a warning I would pack everything now.
LOL- unions, remember them? Before the republicans convinced us they were no good and we should get rid of them.
They cant just call people into a room, and f*ck them out.
Contact your union first, or tell them you will see them in court.
They are required to have two people, one of which must be a manager, take inventory of all items remaining in the desk and sign the inventory slip. They must pack and mail the items with a copy of the inventory list enclosed via a company that offers tracking such as UPS, FedEx or DHL. Make BNYM pay to mail your belongings. They cannot enforce that you come in to pick up your items.
