Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

The "health" of Quartz, anyone know if this is still being "pushed' as the holy-grail technology at the bank?

I may end up on one of the Quartz technology teams, I'm just worried if this is a dead-end. What is the future of Quartz as the "favorite" technology looking like? Will it still be the main focus going forward or will it be the next target of lay-offs? I really would like to know if I will have some kind of security with Quartz, anyone?

1dxw, spaghetti code is an understatement! The whole of Quartz is one huge collection of supposedly re-usable spaghetti code pieces that can be customized and used by all teams around the world - kind of like throwing a whole lot of bricks, pipes, support beams and cement, etc around and getting the locals to build a city in the areas where they need them. See how far that goes without any planning, architecture, or any kind of upfront engineering!

The guys from Bombay must be really at home in this kind of environment so it's really perfect all round!

Quartz was what BoA needed to sponsor the Bombay baboons to write spaghetti code while letting Americans go who actually understood finance.

The past monkey President was okay with this because it was going to give us gifts in consideration for H1B abuse.
