Ended up going back to school after WFM. Now I have a corporate job that pays double and that I actually love.

Finished my degree and got a union job. Paid holidays, consistent work schedule, protected status, can be 5 minutes late without getting written up. Work with grown ups who don’t try to throw each other under the bus for every slight and managers who don’t waste their time trying to fire everyone. Overall, not traumatizing like WFM. Put in 15 years at that hell hole.

Still in the afterlife with Whole foods. I am a zombie wandering the aisles aimlessly.

Well, I went back to school to pursue a different career field altogether. I also work for Amazon Prime as a shopper. The Whole Foods employees give us dirty looks when we are shopping as they hate for us to ruin their freshly stocked shelves😂

I quit in April, took a 10 week full time computer coding boot camp and started a job as a developer 2 weeks after I graduated. I started off making what I made as a team leader for 2 years, but I've gotten a raise since working there so now I make more. I get to pick my own schedule, I get time off for appointments, I never work holidays (some are even paid), my health insurance is better, and my company matches 4% in my 401k. I didn't even think that I'd like this industry, but I love it and I'm so glad I quit. Whole foods is/was a good job, but I needed a career.

I left WFM corporate for a tech job in San Jose. Doubled my pay and my benefits cover medicines I use everyday (Rx bill went from $450 to $60/month).

I work in sales at a flavor company and am living my best life. I resigned from my TL position 5 years ago and still miss the people that I bonded through trauma with, but not the trauma.... Also am making 5x what I made as a TL and only work 37.5 hrs/week.

You mean the printer isn’t supposed to jam all the time?

Now that all TMs can print signs and tags we waste about 1,000 times the amount of revlar and vinyl labels. When the signmaker printed all signs and the SSS/SSIs printed all tags, there was little to no waste. Also, the printers that were deployed to all stores for revlar and tags were not designed to print on these materials. The whole project was not researched just like everything else at WFM. Remember when all the stores in NA got iPads for ringing up floral sales? So many projects are deplyed that are destined to fail because of lack of research and testing.

Working for Whole Foods was reminiscent of the Hot/Crazy Scale from How I Met Your Mother... Just saying that it's ok to date someone crazy as long as they are equally hot. Whole Foods skirted that line for a while but the pay was decent for no education so whatever crazy was there was worth it. WFM passed over the "Vicky Mendoza" line with telling me the right way to organize a cooler is to put blue tape everywhere with sharpie... All I have to do to move things wherever I want is move the tape, re-tape somewhere else, then take a picture, and post the new picture and update the cooler map. Among other things. Like a picture of a trash can on a.... Wait for it......... Trash can. I went back to college and am pleased. Not to say that I hadn't been planning on going back to college since before I started with WFM in the first place. I do not regret spending ten years there though.

I left WFM 4 months ago after 4 years and am now working in the can--bis industry, making a very good wage and I work with super great people and the best part is how nice and happy the people are with whom we do business with. It's a emerging mult-billion dollar industry with lots of opportunities, and a hell of alot better then the grocery industry.
