I am perplexed that nobody is talking about massive layoffs BofA is going through right now

I am perplexed that nobody is talking about massive layoffs BofA is going through right now. It has been at the top of all national news for more than a week right now, there are many reports on how the layoffs have been planned and what units will be affected. The news media in general agree that the quality of service will be affected (BofA is terrible in this area anyway) and how even more jobs may be sent overseas. We all know that BofA is one of the largest employers in the country and all of this is passing by us without any revolt being voiced. If we had a decent union to represent workers maybe something could have been done, but no, we decided that unions are evil, and that paying low wages is OK, screwing customers is OK, screwing entire nation is OK… It’s a shame, the whole banking sector is a disgrace to this nation and people just need to wake up and realize this someday. BofA with all its failings is still making profits and it’d be fair that some of the profits are passed to workers too, not only shareholders (they don’t see that money anyway) and high paid executives – think about the workers for a moment… 2012 - It’s a shame…
