Live Captions in Teams

What’s with turning the live captions on & off in Teams? And then if you want it on you have to submit an accommodation? Isn’t it just a tool in Teams that everyone can benefit from?

SO FRUSTRATING

It’s so frustrating here at the barn. I feel like hr forgot about us. Why would they just leave one department in the building it makes no sense. They say they want to be as transparent as possible but yet here we are sitting back having no idea... — read more

Performance ratings are a joke!

Putting in the same level of effort as last year when I was rated an Exceeds at mid-year and this year I’m rated a Meets at mid-year. Why bother? Just going to coast from here on out. Corporate America is ki-ling any desire to care about our... — read more

Sad. Angry. Disheartened.

As a long time employee, I have witnessed many changes in this company...Some good, some definitely not so good. I don't mind change. Change is the better part of my job. What I do mind is that once I loved coming to work, but not anymore. I loved... — read more

Hey Fargo

What’s my routing number? How much did I spend on groceries? How many fake accounts did Wells Fargo open in my name? How much money was skimmed off my savings account? Just how soulless can the management of a major corporation become?

June 23rd Team meeting

We have a scheduled team huddle in a conference room at 2pm. Could this be our layoff notice?

1990s Commercial: guy sitting on a lawnmower

There was commercial back in the 90s of a white collar middle manager sitting on his riding lawnmower muttering to himself: "I have a mortgage, wife, 2 cars and 3 kids in college. Please help me!!" I think it was EF Hutton or something like that... — read more

Layoff managers gangs

"Managers are going to use mid year review to remove people who are not part of their gangs."~ previous post

Demotivated employees

Nobody seems to care anymore. Most of the people are doing the bare minimum these days because they can't muster the motivation to give a damn. It's so weird to see this every day, to see it actively affect productivity, and to realize that nobody... — read more

Backing up/saving code I created

WXPS - Leo's upcoming meeting from Hudson Yards

Absolutely hilarious, under the section Live Q&A, one of the bullet points says "Embrace Candor". Where to even begin? First, who is Leo\WF to instruct me to embrace candor? The poor marketing (social engineering) the company does to its workers... — read more

Tech teams - efficiency opportunity

Crowdstrike

Well at least we know there are people worse off than us. Took a peek at the Crowdstrike layoff page. Folks are already packing up.

Mgmt are control freaks

I wouldn’t mind if it was for the sake of efficiency and work results. It’s not, and never was, the best mgmt style, but I would tolerate it if it was about work. However, it’s not. It’s about exercising power, control issues, petty office politics... — read more

Testing Teams

FLIV and IT&V are useless. They aren't interested in collaborative Risk Management. They are interested in wielding control and failing teams. They are incompetent.

WAVE

Why are there issues with VDI every single day? It’s obviously a complete failure and they need to revert everyone back ASAP! So much time wasted on their so called work arounds.

Mr. Boss

So my Mr. Boss unfollowed me on social media on Monday. July 8. The following day (you guessed it-Tuesday after Payday)...I thought I was getting laid off or terminated. What I received was a verbal warning. Does that last 6 months? If I get laid... — read more

I had a one on one with my boss for my mid year discussion. My boss made up many fake comments and hinting I will be on PIP.

Reviews are just a cover for selection at will

In exchange, work as little as possible, take as much as you can, and always search for other jobs. In this day and age it’s silly to try to prove yourself in a workplace. Hard-workers can be gone as fast and easy as someone acting as a beach goer... — read more

Stacked ranking

Remember folks, wells implements stacked ranking when it comes to review time. There will always be someone that has to take the hit with a bad review. Not everyone can be good! Which is obviously not true, but that's how it goes 🤷‍♂️
