There's no such thing as being safe here

If your job can be done by somebody in a low-cost country, count on your job being sent to a low-cost country sooner or later. It might not happen right away, but it will happen. That's the end goal. We're all considered to be too expensive and... — read more

Hurry—diversify 401k

All—if you can hurry and do so before market close today in 30 minutes, it’s a GREAT day to rebalance/diversify out of the WFC shares you got as your match. WFC is flat but major indexes are down—you might move it for now into the NASDAQ-tracking... — read more

The new University Analysts hire make $105K

WF location strategy- not broadly efficient

I understand the need to justify real estate to improve efficiency, and that drives location strategy in some circumstances. Makes sense. This approach feels a lot more like “we are still going to have most of all this real estate but are going to... — read more

All tricks, no treats

A layoff on 10/31 was discussed, but now we know that scope. 700+ of us were downsized/outsourced. Drip drip drip until we're all gone.

The layoffs will continue

The layoffs will continue until the asset cap is lifted because layoffs are the only way for CS to improve the efficiency ratio and thus get bigger bonuses every year. He isn't ethical enough to get the asset cap lifted, so layoffs are his... — read more

401(k) match missing?

Another post mentioned that folks should be able to see their 401(k) match already in their accounts. I was hoping to see it on the 29th, but as of now it is still not visible for me. Is this an issue, or is this the case for others as well and I... — read more

Happy New Year

Let's hope that this is the year when we all find better options and leave WFC behind, never to look back.

Individual to family

5th year employed by Wells. How much more to pay for family from current individual, in a PPO. Also, same question for dental and vision. Just curious. St Louis.

Are ALL WFH positions being moved back to the office?

I’ve been WFH since beginning of 2021 and I’ve been told since I am over 2 hours from a hub that I am remote permanently. I’ve seen on here people talking about WFH being forced back to the office, but I haven’t been communicated anything regarding... — read more

How worried should IT be for layoffs?

I work in IT for the company and my boss has told me he’s heard nothing in regards to the layoffs affecting us and he’s always been up front to our team if someone is being let go. We had contractors that were let go in favor of offshore, which my... — read more

What to expect…

Moved from a Business Execution Associate to a Consultant in 2023. does anyone know if that means I will be more aligned to bonus what my team bonuses? Or would management still look at what I bonus’d last year as an associate? (Which for the record... — read more

Charlie’s Thought Process

The world: Charlie: “I know! Let’s fire Americans and export their jobs and all that confidential data to a third-world country that’s allies with Russia. What could go wrong?!?” The world: “Maybe that’s not such a good…” Charlie: “We’ll budget... — read more

If the market makes a turn soon, do you think there will be Wells Fargo layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

35K Employees gone since 1/31/23

Simple count from Teamworks today and comparing to 1/31/23 shows 35K. Granted, not all are employees, but a good chunk are. So another reduction in 2024 (which will probably be equal to the 35K gone in 2023), but this time we are taking a billion out... — read more

Bonus Pool time!!!!

So last year I was a bus execution consultant. Got about 7.5% bonus on a meets/meets. Was then promoted to sr bus execution consult. Which I think an increase in pay structure and hoping to see what others in that role got last year. And if there is... — read more

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, eh?

Labor market predictions for 2024 vary. Here is the hopeful one: According to the Robert Half study, only 1% of employers intend to eliminate positions in the first half of 2023, while another 2% will leave their headcount as-is. Another 39%... — read more

You are all spoiled and entitled.

The firm pays well, you work little. Good luck getting same pay elsewhere. You lack passion and should be replaced by someone cheaper and harder working in Bangalore.

Wells Fargo Investment Institute is a joke

Their S&P 500 forecast for 2023 was 4200. Guessing that is why our Financial Advisors know to follow other seasoned analysts and not listen to the castrated advice under the watered-down and “efficient” leadership of Darrel C.

12,000 people in one year

How can Charlie sleep at night knowing that he robbed 12,000 employees and their families of their livelihoods in a single year? No other bank comes close to that in the number of laid off employees (at least no other U.S. bank). Can you even imagine... — read more
