haven't seen an rto post in a day or two so thought I post this interesting article I found https://www.bbc.com/worklife/article/20230317-the-workers-quietly-backtracking-on-return-to-office

BEWARE: Remote 3/2

Improve VPN capability that allows employees max of 2 days per week remote. If you cannot remote in because you have used up VPN allowed days you need to come to office or use PTO. Once PTOs run out HR gets involved. This also helps with people... — read more

Leo has destroyed technology

After displacing the COSMIC team, there is one guy desperately trying to support it. Leo has stated that it will be 3 months before COSMICs replacement will be ready. If anything goes wrong with COSMIC, that’s it. No new windows hardware can be... — read more

Bank Run Haiku

Panic in the bank, Customers rush to withdraw, Money flows like sand.

The Financial System is Untethered to Reality

The reason the banking system is showing signs of distress is because global claims on resources are way out of line with our underlying physical realities. Money and debt are not intrinsically valuable, they are just symbolic claims on physical... — read more

Internal Audit is Done!

Internal Audit is now hiring individuals to lead audits that do not have any audit or control testing experience. Based on the nature of the hires I can only assume this is being done to meet DEI metrics. These metrics do affect Audit Director and... — read more

Offshoring

How long until all of our jobs except customer facing roles are in EGS? Last record count was 46k+ over there with nearly 1k job postings open. WFCs NYSE name will be WFEGS in no time.

Crickets once again

The MASSIVE layoff info posted here is a joke. 3/21 no wait 3/23. Not saying layoffs are not happening but there will never be a mass layoff all at once. Can we all agree on that?

The Posts Have Gotten Really Boring Here Lately

C'mon you guys. The posts here are just dreadfully boring lately! It used to be that someone would post a rumor, and bam! It came true! The leak has been plugged it seems. Anyways, just wanted to let everyone know how much you've let me down. — read more

Fully remote and still employed?

I fall into this bucket and unsure why that is. Early 2020 I chose to resign w/ severance over a forced relocation. HR canceled this plan when pandemic hit which rescinded my resignation. I looked up and down at all the documents and it was not... — read more

Layoffs 3/23/2023

Any insights on layoffs for tomorrow and what LOB it will impact?

There is NOTHING we can do properly

Having served 5 years I received the email saying they'd be sending me a lucite plaque to use in my fireplace. Did it arrive, no, it's been 3 months. We can't even thank people for tolerating this he-l hole without screwing it up.

I estimate approx 3300 displaced this month so far

No more than 6600-ish but accounting for normal attrition, non-primary account closures, general clean-up I'd conservatively say 3300 have been displaced this month so far. Approx 1000 zz'd between 0001 and 0900 on 3/22, approx 1500 zz'd 3/21 +... — read more

Operational Risk Management Town Hall - 3/22/2023

Three execs (Op Risk, Compliance and Operations) got together to brainstorm how to make their employees work life balance better due to RCSA and other related stressful programs. BJ spat out a bunch of cr-p, i.e. no meetings past 4 on Fridays, don't... — read more

Investors not loving Wells Fargo

Back down below 40 even when we stand out as among the strongest banks in the recent crisis. We should be one of the main beneficiaries of the wave of incoming deposits from customers with over the FDIC limit at other banks. I’ve read new deposits... — read more

Fed today .25 or .5% ?

Will they roll the dice with .5% increase and watch the banking sector cave in like SVB because their Treasury investments are in the toilet? Is Charlie buying bonds? Does he care? He's already made over $100M on this WF circus, the greatest sh*tshow... — read more

1st Republic Still in Trouble

Looks like JPM is considering another bailout for the bank. Stock price still falling past another 45% decline.

It's 3/22...

and I'd just like to say "F off" to the worthless clowns in Hudson Yards. FRTO and eat the peanuts out of my S for turning this company into a BS laden day care where nonsensical corporate time-wasters and fake DIE initiatives are much more important... — read more

So……. 7k+ on 3/21? Nope. So 3/23? April?

This clearly wasn’t a “mass layoff.” Sure doesn’t seem like it. Does that invalidate many of the sources who frequently post on this site? Or, is it a case where that was actually the initial plan, and it’s been delayed due to the recent baking... — read more

Chandler

Any Layoffs in Chandler?

Reducing total headcount and increasing to 30% I&P

Feel free to correct the rudimentary assumptions I'm making. Per the last 10-K, on 12/31/22 there were 238k employees with 19% offshore. Obviously the numbers are different now, but for transparency purposes, I will use these figures. That means... — read more

Why them?

I wish someone can explain the selection process for layoff if not the manager. Is it tenure, pay, performance review? Is it random. I don't understand hard-working, well respected people being let go and dead wood with more pay left working in... — read more

COSMIC engineers displaced

If you’re sitting in front of a WF issued windows device, it was imaged using COSMIC. That little icon that looks like a Xmas present in your systray, is the COSMIC agent. It’s what’s responsible for spinning up that device. COSMIC requires frequent... — read more

Does anyone not realize trolls exist here

There were no layoffs at all, anyone can say they were so and so and got laid off today but lie about it. If that were the case, man up and post your name here. That’s really the only way we could verify if you were truly laid off. There are weird... — read more
