Anniversary during non-working notice...

Layoff question. I am suspecting my layoff soon. With that, my anniversary hits during my 60-day non-working notice. Does anyone know what years of service they will use for my severance? Also, do you accrue PTO during the non-working notice? TIA — read more

Retail banking

The job is exhausting. I have worked as a teller, service manager, personal banker, business banker and branch manager but I can’t seem to get past this spot. It’s been 10 years. Who do I need to get on my knees for?

Perf Ratings - They've succeeded

Back in the day when we were ranked numerically 1-5, a meets rating of 3 was always looked at negatively and for most employees considered a bad rating. Well after years of beating us within an inch of our lives, they have made us all feel extremely... — read more

Remote Jobs are out there

Not a humblebrag, but remote jobs are out there. I was absolutely surprised when I realized one Tech related company (not a Magnificent Seven member) has 50ish across the spectrum, but mostly Tech. Don’t rely on aggregators and search engines, look... — read more

Muting On teams

I was in a group-wide Teams meeting with around 60 people, and this HR lady had been talking nonstop for over 15 minutes. I figured I'd mute her like on Discord, thinking it would just mute her for me. Turns out I muted her for everyone instead... — read more

First Official Act

If I ever become CEO, my first act will be to fire everyone in marketing who was around in 2008 for not trading out the hideous red/yellow for the way classier Wachovia blue/green. Malpractice tbh. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk.

Looking for guidance

I could really use some honest advice. I have lost confidence in my management. It feels like they're only focused on managing up, not leading and supporting the team. 100% delegation on their part. There are no real development opportunities here... — read more

What happened yesterday?

Yes, we have layoffs every other Tuesday, but usually it's nothing major. Yesterday seems to have been much larger than usual, and I don't think there was any warning it would happen like that. What happened?
