What is it like?

What is it like to go into the office & sit next to an empty cubicle that use to be your co-worker & friend that has been laid off? Are you happy it’s not you? Do you keep in touch? Do you care?

BE's 2025 Tech Priorities-- lol

Video was put out by BE on 2025 priorities. Fair enough. What made me lol was the comment on how we can be more efficient-- yeah, no sht. But then went on and mentioned Agile. Lady, Agile is NOT going to do jack sht about how inefficient we... — read more

Promotions

When was the last time you heard of someone being promoted without it being blatant nepotism or cronyism?

Bonus Timing

We all know bonuses will hit checks on Feb 14. I’ve seen some posts that the bonus can be pulled back up to the day before it is issued. I don’t think that’s accurate. If giving notice, what date leading up to Feb 14 is your best chance to keep the... — read more

Fake jobs problem

Many posts are fake jobs listed for H1B and Green Card applications. Report them to government agencies.

No more room in the office

We are starting to see the impact of not having enough office space for RTO. Wondering if there is any chatter to fix that in New York. I’m only allowed to sit on my floor on a certain side. If they do return to 5 days, what are we going to do? Sit... — read more

8 hours in office

Anyone else get a communication that a new expectation is that you're required to be in the office for 8 hours on your required 3 days each week and that this 8 hour requirement is now being tracked?

Jobs moving to India

We hardly see any hiring in our org. All the replacements positions are offerred to Indians in India. Wells want to operate here but prefer indian employee. How fair is this? Hoping for some new regulations to address this norm followed by several... — read more

Anti-DEI protests overlook WF

Too cheap to pay the WSJ, but what I did read doesn’t mention WF. Not because our DEI has been rationalized (as if) but rather because we don’t matter. This must frustrate our Napoleonic money-center poseur in Hudson Yards.

I messed up

In an effort to protect myself from layoffs as much as possible, I kept taking on more and more work. Now I'm stuck with doing more than double what I used to or I should be and I have no idea how to hit reverse without jeopardizing my job. I'm... — read more

Wells Fargo HR is so incompetent

We employ the most incompetent people in HR. Despite going through thousands of layoffs recently, they still have no clue how to manage this process. My function (COO) is in the middle of the worse experience (for both managers and employees) we have... — read more

Cloud Strategy?

Seriously, what happened? I thought we were moving everything out we could to public cloud?

Are you kidding me??

Jim Cramer on Wells Fargo & Company (WFC) CEO Charlie Scharf: ‘He’s Terrific’ “Look I love Charlie Scharf [WFC CEO] and he’s terrific. But, when it, Charlie’s got a great national bank. But when it comes to capital markets, there was none better. It... — read more

Review and Wage increase?

We got our reviews but manager said they can’t talk compensation until like the end of the month? Is this true? I don’t remember my old managers doing that. When can they talk about comp and when does it go into affect?

StL

Any guesses on when St Louis MO will be vacated and left to the dust bin of Wells Fargo history? My gut tells me 3-5 years tops.

Severance

Did they announce how much severance the firm is putting aside in 2025, like they did on 2024?
