West End Center Winston

If it’s true that most at West End Center will be let go in 2025, anyone have any idea about the timings? 2 waves? Mid year? End of year?

The hardworking reason

If you see bottom engineers work hard, that’s because their pay is close to the upper engineers. As simple as that. Pay push you no one else could. Favoritism in action. Managers put more money on their favorite bottom engineers.

Excellent advice

I think banking in general is simply a bad industry to be in these days. While WF's US-based layoffs have been among the worst of all the US banks, all of banking is in decline. Whatever your specialty is, I'd suggest looking for some other industry... — read more

Layoffs

If you’re thinking of dodging layoffs by jumping to a different team, don’t kid yourself. This is basically the Hunger Games, and guess what, the leaderships is the only one who gets out alive. Everyone is getting fired.

Discrimination?

Given the string of issues over the past several years, is it possible there could be some discriminatory issues against protected classes if someone were to look at the demographics of the layoff numbers? I suspect maybe? Thousands of people have... — read more

In case you still wonder why we have cuts all the time

I view it as the bank being raided from the inside. There are zero good intentions on the part of our C-Suite. Despite what Charlie & Co say, they are squeezing every drop out of the company for their personal gain and then will abandon ship. Their... — read more

P5/M2 Comp Range

Trimming the Fat

I still can’t understand how WF can lay off everyone & continue to do. Does that mean everyone had unnecessary jobs? Who is doing all their work? I mean they were doing work up until the day they were laid off.

Command and control is stifling innovation

The command and control hierarchical structure is the single biggest source of waste and inefficiency bar none. This whole attempt to be agile without the proper organizational restructuring has left everyone in chaos and confusion. Then you have... — read more

Where's the Boss?

My favorite statement in this article "The greater the distance between the C.E.O.’s home and the company’s headquarters, the greater the performance gap."

New Location after new year?

I work in the tower in Winston Salem. Found out the lease for our specific floor was renewed on 10/1 and is renewed until 2030! I believe this to be a positive sign as I was worried about location change to Charolette being imminent!

I’m afraid of ageism

I’m close to 55. I’ve spent my whole career in banking, and been with WF for the past 15 years. I’m terrified of losing my job as soon as I turn 55. I’m fully aware that the likelihood of that happening is actually very high. I would be fine with... — read more

NEW retail mortgage comp plan

I heard that the retail HMCs and PMBs have a new comp plan today. In MN, it will be a salary of 15.57 per hour. No draw. Big cuts in bps in the tiers. $150 min commission, which is down.

Wealth Mgt layoffs

Anyone heard about layoffs in WIM. RTO was set for 2/3. So guessing non hub will be 30-60 days after that. Most unsettling part is managers aren’t talking to people. I know this isn’t a shock to anyone but it’s pathetic to let rumors fly and give... — read more

It looks like I’ve managed to survive the year without being laid off! I did go on medical leave for several months for a surgery. Does anyone know if I will receive a regular bonus or if it is pro-rated for the time I was away on leave?
