New Healthcare Company?

Time to to leave. I just got an offers form double my salary but I'm still keeping my Anthem stock. This company can blow up in flames.

The new normal

It's not just Anthem. Across every industry employees are walking away. They are calling it the "Great Resignation". If leadership wants to prosper and grow, they will have to make dramatic changes in the way they view and treat the talent that keeps... — read more

Money

Does anyone else find it ironic that anthem made billions last year and this quarter, but the average employee (regardless of how well they did on their performance review) received a merit increase of less than 2%? Its nice that anthem was able to... — read more

How big will the layoffs be?

Does anyone have any insight as to how big layoffs could be? I was surprised to hear rumors of layoffs, given that people keep leaving. Who could be the target groups this time?

No Pay Raise for 2 years

Got Meet Criteria on my Performance Appraisal yet no pay for 2 years on a row. Told I am at the top of the scale. My only option at this point is to get out of there.

I just don’t have any more tears..

I’m so gdaed tired of being reduced to tears every day. Carrying the load of 3 people and forced into 12+ hours a day just to get it done and not being compensated for it because you are salaried. Then despite all this your leadership is... — read more

Are you joking?!

Finally, I honestly confronted my team's leader about not being physically able to meet the demands of my (5 person and growing) workload. I was told to take a time management course. :0

Working at Anthem has taken its toll on me.

Overworked, Under-Valued, Not Appreciated Lay-off half the team and the rest are left to pick up the pieces with the same performance expectations as before. You do the work of 2-3 people and yet your pay grade has nothing to show for it. Even... — read more

Anthem Data Breach

Remember the Anthem Data Breach? Well it just got me. My data was on the dark web and my identity was used last week to open a new bank account. So now I have to become an identity theft expert to ward off the effects of Anthem’s pathetic data... — read more

Welcome to WellPoint, Anthem, Hellgate (or whatever that new name is) or any future names (ha). Doing NOTHING good for members, employees or humanity!

Unnecessary initiatives

Of all the unnecessary initiatives, Elephant Health is the winner of the competition for the most unnecessary one. Unfortunately, there are even more of them. Why all these unnecessary initiatives?

Helevate

Who came up with Elevance name? It sounds like the supplement Ensure, or the aldult diaper Depends. They should have taken the words Health and Elevate and made Helevate. Tag line could be: Get Helevated!

March layoffs....?

Anyone hearing rumors of more layoffs occurring the first week in March?

They should burn in he-l

These MFers are so f***king greedy. I’m at a loss for words. After being let go last year without warning or any issues — they are now (a year later) fighting the unemployment I claimed for a measles two months. Greed greed and more greed.

Doing more with less. Really?

While everyone is speculating whether Anthem will soon cut more people and whether the company can keep doing more with fewer people, I am afraid that something else is happening here. I have less work to do than ever. I would say that it is not... — read more

Meeting deadlines

Is it just me or do others also have more and more trouble meeting the deadlines? I’m still somehow succeeding at it, but it’s becoming a growing challenge for me. Deadlines are becoming unrealistic because Anthem obviously wants to squeeze people... — read more

The only way to increase your pay is to leave Anthem?

The financial focus is on buying other companies, stock/ dividend increases, and executive pay, not compensating lower level employees. If you are just starting out in your career, the only way to increase your pay at or more than the rising cost of... — read more

I wish there were valid alternatives

Anywhere I've applied I've only gotten bad offers that don't come close to what I make here. I know my worth and I'm not willing to settle for something less, so I'll keep looking. Staying here, however, is destroying my mental health, so I really... — read more

I tried, I really did try but there is only so much one person can be expected to do - especially for what they were paying me. I see a lot of people complaining about older employees leaving but I can tell you from personal experience that those of... — read more

Outsourcing ...

You will literally need to secretly outsource your own work load because Anthem expects you to do the work of 10 bodies!

Profits are more important than people

No matter how hard you work and the amount of knowledge you have, you are not safe at Anthem. The company will have no problems laying you off if they can find somebody who'd be willing to do your job for less money. The new hire doesn't know as much... — read more

Smaller companies pay more

I left Anthem because my new job offered me double the salary I was making at Anthem. The only way you will ever make six figures is to leave and work for a smaller company. A smaller company typically pays a lot more. The only way you will make six... — read more

CVS seems to pay more

CVS seems to pay more than Anthem bc they offer more unique positions and don't make you become a manager in order to make the big bucks. Just an observation I notice. Anthem is all about manager hierarchy and nothing else.

Leave your comfort zone!!!

Look for jobs outside of our industry, apply for jobs you think you have no chance of getting, just put yourself out there. I see so many folks who are unhappy here but are too scared to leave for whatever reason. Even if none of that works (which I... — read more
