Is Anthem still on the warpath to cut its way to profitability? I am one of the victims of that war, I was laid off a year ago. I'm not complaining, though, it was the best thing that could have happened to me. I was too much of a coward to quit... — read more
Anthem does not pay enough so I left
If you are afraid to leave Anthem because you think you have security regarding pay, you are are worth more than what Anthem pays you. I was making close to 75K in my last year at Anthem. I got contacted by a recruiter during that time and offered me... — read more
Let's see how anonymous this is

Antthem Layoffs 2022
Is there going to be any reorg or Antthem layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?
Perhaps off topic - I could not add folks for 360s
Once upon a time, in a good employer realm, one had to pick others - peers, customers, other mgmt folks for reviews that were applied to one's annual review (at one time called 360s, perhaps I am showing my longevity). As of yesterday, 11/9/2021, I... — read more
Four years ago, we started our descent

One positive thing about Anthem
Since they aren't a real company- just a patchwork of vendors. It teaches you a valuable lesson that you shouldn't try to find fulfillment from a job or company no matter how well run or not the company is. You should find it outside.
They can only intimidate those who have no other option
I've decided that I will not work any more than I do now. And I'm already doing work for several people. If they still think they will achieve something by intimidating people that they have to do an unrealistic amount of work in order not to be... — read more

We work hard so our leaders can make $millions
Last year, 4 Anthem Vice Presidents made over $5 million, and the President and CEO Gail Boudreaux made over $17 million. In the meantime, the median Anthem employee wages have declined the last two years by over $10,000: 2017: $70,867 2018:... — read more
Seems like everyone is leaving

It's become annoying to watch
Here for the most part, everyone already thinks that the most important thing is to be among the managers favorites. In that sense Anthem is not much different from other companies I’ve worked for, but it's amazing to me how many people are able to... — read more
Mass exodus

Overworked, Under-Valued, Not Appreciated
Working at Anthem has taken its toll on me. Lay-off half the team and the rest are left to pick up the pieces with the same performance expectations as before. You do the work of 2-3 people and yet your pay grade has nothing to show for it. Even if... — read more
Ethics Reporting. Has anyone had success?

Time to strike?
https://theintercept.com/2021/10/17/john-deere-strike-labor-market/ Anthem needs us, we don't need them!
Job performance
It’s in my best interest to improve my job performance, but that seems like a mission impossible. How to improve job performance when you have more and more work to do almost every day? The quality of work is inevitably deteriorating.
Imagine
Imagine ignoring natural immunity and mandating a vaccine that puts your employees with prior infection at risk and for no reason. An antibody test confirms protection. It is negligent not to offer that as an alternative. You talk the talk; it’s... — read more
