All he was saying was that older employees, who happen to have many years of knowledge and expertise, are retiring and it's sad to see them go. You people just like to invent controversy.
I wish I listened to TDD and US Cellular Guy
They are going to get bought out by Dish or T-Mobile. Up 100% plus in past week.
AT&T Advanced Phone for Business

I turned in my resignation
and was offered a re-connection award. I've received the connection award $$'s a few times but what is this? Was offered $7,500 to stay. For what it matters - I said HE11 NO and went to T-Mobile in DLLS.
The uncertainty of looking for a new job is easier to tolerate than this
It's not the first time I've heard that people find it easier to handle the stress of being jobless and looking for a new job rather than working here. Isn't that just sad?

First time in history that T-Mo has reported a lower churn rate than AT&T. No way around this potential problem other than investment in network and pricing. Bummer for the big boys. “AT&T’s churn rate was 0.79% in the recent quarter. This was 4... — read more

Call for action. Its time to unionize!
I think it's time for the HQ workers to call for a union. The RTO is clearly just another effort to surplus employees. For the workers that are left, its like the wild west to fight for parking and a desk somewhere in the building. We should... — read more

For wave 1 people - if you don't move you're off payroll before November 2. If you find another job before then, even on November 1, you can leave but you won't get severance.
401K Question
Someone can confirm this but I think employees are vested in the company's 401k matching contribution once they are at AT&T for 5 years OR if they turn 65. My question is do you get the 401k match if you get laid off - oh, I mean surplussed :/ -... — read more

Ring Central said No Mo to Katibeh
No so-called leader from AT&T can survive in the real world. Even the Lily actress got smacked with the AT&T sh-t stick and is stuck doing these lame commercials.
Is this Lead Cable thing going to bite employees in A$$?
I know they will justify less benefits or layoffs as a result of this controversy.

Mass chaos in St. Loius
