Stankeys newest plan to make you quit

Musical cities. It goes like this. You get “the letter” that says you have two weeks to tell them if you’re willing to uproot your entire life, sell your home, tell the neighbors goodbye, pull the kids out of school, and find a new home in... — read more

Move or stay?

AT&T has started showing signs to relocate employees to hubs almost sine 2018 when California employees were forced to relocate to Austin. Yet, here I am holding the ground, swamped with work, unable to find the right time to exit, and fearing where... — read more

Ending 5G AirGig in New York

How many people will lose their jobs over this affordable internet debacle? And how is our cost structure so high that we can't deliver throttled wireless home internet for $20? It reminds me of when GM went bankrupt because their cost structure for... — read more

wow coming back to these forums are crazy

I left AT&T 6 years ago for a FAANG company. 30M with about $3.2mil NW. Just back here to look at all of you complaining about union vs not union and the same complaints about the CEO. literally nothing has changed about AT&T. if you want to change... — read more

Layoff Targets are non union employees

If you are hired prior to 2009. If you are 5 to 1 year shy of the 75 mark. If you are not DEI. You are in line to be laid off. By getting employees hired prior to 2009 saves the company approximately $500,000. Why you get no lump sum……. And they will... — read more

If I wanted to save this company

I’d fire everyone on the board, Stankey, McElfresh, and the entire C suite. Then I’d pay Chris Sambar whatever his price is to come back and lead.

RTO will force me to quit

I don’t want to. I want to keep the job for now, at least until I find a somewhat decent replacement. I also do not want to play into the leadership’s hands and leave on my own. But the commute is crazy. I lose hours every day just getting to work... — read more

Lol

I like how this site is showing how racist AT&Ts older workforce is. The joke write themselves

Work Ethic

What has happened to the work ethic in this company? Some of my co-workers don’t want to RTO. You know who you are.

RTO Hunger Games Week 3 comes to an end

It was a short week, but it certainly didn’t feel short. RTO is really taking its toll. On top of much voluntary self attrition, many non-voluntary eliminations to end the week, and many more to come soon! Updated numbers will be provided Monday... — read more

Never be tempted to return

I left early last year after dealing with horrible leadership and trying to hit goals that couldn't be met. After leaving it was the most stress free time in my life. A friend reached out in November and asked if I'd be interested in a vacancy their... — read more

New hires for sales are POed

17 years and let go from ATT twice and shame on me for coming back. Talking to a friend today and a team just hired 2 new sales people and got the email of reduction of 10k from their offer letter after just starting, thank You Jennifer, Von... — read more

ATT does not care about DEI over 45

So if you’re young and d-mb or new and gullible, but if you are over 45 your not long to be employed. ATT gives out Swag crud to the young pups and new peeps and says we are all about inclusion but 45 and above you are a feast for the dim wits up... — read more

Follow the money

How much money are the executives earning due to RTO? How does it affect their salary, bonus, and total compensation?

Why RTO?

Platinum

If you are in platinum and not in the top 50% in the ranking, you have a strong chance of getting let go. If you are in the 4th quartile, they might term you in under 30 days. They need to lower headcount drastically. If you are in this segment... — read more

HROneStop is the company’s official HR site

Under working your destination it states office workers are only required to be in the office 3-5 days and is decided by individual organizations. Anything else is hearsay. Make a copy and save it. If they terminate you for not RTOing 5 days... — read more

I give it six months

I know everyone is up in arms about RTO right now - and for good reason, to be clear - but the same thing that always happens will happen. People will huff and puff, but within six months, they’ll get used to it and forget all about it. They’ll just... — read more

Security key bs

I think we abandoned physical tokens like 10+ years ago and i already need a phone to access a computer (wtf?). So what purpose does this forced physical security key have other than gps tracking my paid and unpaid bowel movements?

How Many Hours is Enough?

Without any clear and specific words from our leaders, perhaps there is an AD, Director, or higher that reads this board and can provide some insight as to how presence is being measured. What is a "full day" in the office? I am not referring how... — read more

Anyone have true intel on which orgs will be impacted?

Dallas HQ lol

Anyone else find it funny that the big entry swipe lane in the lobby has been broken since week 1 of RTO? They still haven't fixed it. The elevator algorithms are messed up, takes over 5 mins to even get one. All of HQ is freezing with barely any... — read more

Move to Dallas

The purge is coming. Folks not in one of the 4 hub cities will receive letters in February requesting response as to accepting move to Dallas or not. If yes, followup communication will indicate when expected to report to new location, likely end... — read more

Long-term effects aren't being considered

People aren’t looking at the bigger picture. T's future workforce will be burned out and lack motivation. That’s going to hit their results hard, and I can’t see it doing anything good for the company’s financials.

Culture change

What can be done to change the culture to toward pushing for better benefits for employees (WFH, better raises and pay, etc.) and moving away from employees policing each other? It seems half the posts here are employees fighting each other rather... — read more
