Succeeding at BofA

I'm leaving. Life is what you make out of it. After almost 10 years of working here I still haven't learned how to succeed at BofA. Does anyone know? Those who get promoted and say that this can be achieved through hard work should not be trusted... — read more

We are taking one hit after another

We just lost another great employee last week and I can't understand why they were so willing to let her walk away. She has been here for over a decade and is one of the few people who are knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge and help... — read more

According to Recent in office reporting…

Received an email stating that according to “recent reporting” many people have not been coming in the required “more often than not” as of March 1st. I am one of these people, I have been to the office maybe 4 times since March 1st. The email was... — read more

Bankers Threaten to Quit

Experience before BOA doesn’t count

Anyone else continuously have to remind people that you had experience before you got to BOA? Very cultish, where it only seems the work you’ve done within the company matters.

The experiment is failing

Things quickly get out of hand when those who consider themselves extremely competent are actually doing very risky experiments. Does the bank have to start losing customers so that they realize that outsourcing is not the best solution?

Job bands are going away

They will move from 10 bands to 5 groups. This will happen Q1 2023. No further clarification was given. On an HR call now where it was mentioned.

Feeling checked out...zero interest

In tech... Too many meetings...not enough time to do the actual work. Most of these meetings have people that either are hard to understand (thick accents) or have no idea what they are talking about...or both...it makes everyone lose interest. Is... — read more

"Encouraging" people to retire

I'm still not even close to retirement, but I'm wondering when BofA starts asking employees about their plans for retirement? What age do they start "encouraging" people to retire?

"Invited" to office with medical accommodation

I got a medical accommodation to WFH indefinitely approved. It doesn't say I'm "Mywork" but HR sent an email late last year. I'm physically unable to go to the office due to legitimate medical reasons. Today I got an email from employee... — read more

LOCRO Management

Any other groups not have management back in the office? Most of LOCRO's management and IC's still work from home. What will BANA do when they find out that they lied and are vaccinated? Early on they caught on that if you tell the bank you are... — read more

No OJT for E-Pay returning

Just putting out the word that BOA is not setting up returning agents for success. Beware.

I hate RTO, but I hate the alternative more

Let's face it, as soon as the global situation stabilizes (and it will stabilize at some point, be it in a year or five) management will sit down and take a good look at all the positions that were done 100% from home with no issues. Then they're... — read more

This place only promotes family members and friends!

Goodbye Bing

Anyone know what crawled up GIS's a-s to make them forbid access to Bing? Lots of apps that use Bing maps just bit the dust.

What will be the consequences of such a strategy?

I really don't get the impression that BofA cares at all why people are leaving en masse. Leadership is rather short-sighted and now it seems that people leaving even suits them. The consequences of replacing great employees with new hires, some of... — read more

Two people left my team so far due to RTO

Several more are seriously considering walking away and if they do, we're screwed. I think this might cause the kind of domino effect the leadership has not considered. They counted on some people leaving due to RTO but I'm not sure they counted of... — read more

Favoritism is out of control

Can somebody let BofA managers know that blatantly favoring some employees over others is not good for the team or the company as a whole? Favoritism destroys team morale and it ends up creating resentment and a soul-crushing work environment that... — read more
